Please don't get me wrong here.

I know that Easter is or rather should be the most painful part of our religion year.

But most folk don't realy get it because they don't get many presents only easter eggs. But they enjoy thge holidays. And this is probably why they prefer christmas because because of the turkey and the presents and things.

And most folk I know just seem to use easter to get more drunk and that, for a longer weekend. I bet they don't know what it is all about. Religion seems to be getting in the way of Easter, as the saying goes.

For Christians Easter Day is the most important day of the year as Christ has left the Tomb, left death behind and is with all people. He has conquered death and and is alive so providing a way for all of us to do so as well.

Enjoy your Easter eggs - the new life of Spring which they signify. And listen to the women in your life - they were the first to hear the Good News of the resurrection!
