I want to begin this morning by saying a big hello and a very warm welcome to Marla in Los Angeles. Marla has contacted me through Stan and Mo Bradbury from Castletown. Marla is a regular reader of the blog and when she read my account of the Grand Princess berthing at the cruise terminal in Liverpool last week she got in touch to let us know that onboard the Grand Princess were her parents, an Aunt and several cousins. So, it is not just the blog that circumnavigates the globe, real people also coming in the opposite direction.

Well talking of the cruise liner Grand Princess reminds me of sea sickness. Fortunately I have never suffered from sea sickness, however, it has come to my notice that some people appear to suffer from sea sickness travelling under the water just as much as others do from travelling over it. As I wended my way through the Mersey tunnel last Monday someone had puked up in the pay box on the Wallasey side of the tunnel. I would not like to be the poor devil that had to count that up at the end of the day.

Well I have had a nice weekend just chilling out. I am managing to get out with Skipper but unfortunately I haven’t managed the boat yet. I hope to be fishing again by the end of this week. At present climbing onboard and getting ashore again would just be a tad too much. Every day I am stronger though, so it won’t be long now before we are back on the high seas again. Unfortunately my fish and chips and all that have gone for a Burton. Bacon and sausage has been replaced with croissants and yoghurt. The strange thing is I am becoming quite fond of croissants and yoghurt. We shall see how things are going in a month or so. Somehow I have a feeling that I will be out there at the flying club tucking in to a full breakfast once again and I don’t think the chippies have seen the last of me just yet.

Well folks that is about it for this morning. Barbara has to take my Mother to Nobles and we want to get the blog on the site before she goes, so that means me signing off now. I will be back tomorrow though and I hope you will too.
