Minxie
I've just heard this as well via the partner of somebody who works there. It's a shame - what about the Bowling Alley, will somebody else take it over?
Slim
Staying in is the new going out. When was the last time anyone went bowling? Big shame, I went their quite often to see bands, and it was always pretty much only mates of the bands that were playing that showed up. Guessing the fate's in the hands of the creditors. Hopefully, for the good of the Island, it'll be sold, receive some investment and open up again.

thebees
Thats a bit mad. It seems all too easy for business men to take the cash from businesses and then liquidate them, it happens so often. I'm not suggesting this is the case here but there is a lot of that kind of thing goes on.
Speckled Frost
You'll soon be left with so few nightclub venues there will be nowhere to go to avoid the social groups you don't like. There will just be a couple of places which will just be a melting pot and will probably lead to more tension. Angry punters will get turned away or become frustrated with the inevitable 'one in one out' policy which will lead to further problems. The bowling alley was one of the few places you could go as an alternative to drinking or the cinema. This is all very sad.
Rhumsaa
The bowling alley is a bigger loss than Breeze imho as it was a great alternative for every age group
