  1. Three levels as far as I know, Bronze, Silver & (of course) GOLD Command. All in line with UK Emergency Services with some aspects drawn from the military (which is hardly surprising given the Chief Secretary's background in the MOD). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold–silver–bronze_command_structure And that's it. Any specialisms required will drawn on from whatever the UK has in place, except for Manx solutions for Manx problems. After that it's down to the politicians.
  2. Exactly. Thing is... reading the advert it seems that common sense is not a prerequisite for applying, only "individual specialisms, or accumulated professional standing in relevant fields." need apply.
  3. Correct. Peel Ports use very little of their own money and will only develop something of any substance if they have a tenant already signed up with the finances in place... think BBC and Salford.
  4. I'm plumping for £60 million anyway, to be on the safe side.
  5. Nope. She'll die with her wellies and crown on. Charlie will have to wait his turn. That's the order of things.
  6. It's interesting to see HRH CM is steering clear of this debacle!
  7. Something tells me that he wouldn't have liked a state funeral.... wouldn't be surprised if it's just a quiet family affair with some sort of memorial later in the year.
  8. She said it, inappropriately or not. That's enough for me.
  9. It's going nowhere unless Mr. Josem has the statistics/data and people who can dissect it and turn it all into a cogent argument and hold IOMG's feet to the fire. Simply saying that IOM should join the CPTPP because it's a jolly good idea is not really what a taxpayer's alliance should be about.
  10. In which case they need to change the regulations for 3a because at the moment neither vaccinations or negative tests are part of that strategy(!).
  11. Agreed. However, I suspect IOMG main concern is if they open the borders and there is a spike in cases (which on balance I think there will be) is Nobles really up to coping with increased numbers whilst trying to maintain business as usual with normal day-to-day referrals, day cases, surgery etc?? The business as usual part simply has to carry on, we/they can't be held hostage to this virus. It's beatable but they will need to work around or bypass it. If they haven't already done so then Manx Care/DHSC have got to be prepared and meet that challenge. I haven't seen anything in the public domain yet to suggest that there is any such plan, other than to wait and see what happens and then react. I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

    Manx Care

I hope that Nobles accounts people are now up to the job. At one time the billing of theatre and other associated costs to the consultants/insurers was woefully behind, up to 6 months in some cases I'm told.
  13. Overseen by Ursula Gertrude herself, no less.
  14. I know it's not an excuse but to be honest I think any organisation that has washrooms open to all and sundry should really think twice about installing ceramic ware. Stainless steel, although more expensive, would be a better choice for durability.
  15. I say... steady on that man!
  16. The fact they you have not even had a video call in those 10 months is appalling. You need to get a an email off to Ashford and copy your MHK pronto.
  17. Here we go again.... a single instance of someone getting shirty in a Hub and suddenly it becomes such a major problem that we all need to be lectured about it.
  18. But the "routines" & "soon" will probably by now be heading north towards "urgent" and no doubt some will succumb in the process.
  19. And shredding of a 'letter'. You forgot that. It was that, that really set the tone and the lack of the moral high ground for how the rest of it has been played out.
  20. But they knew who caused it. That's the difference and the point I was making. Now? No clue.
