  1. If you or I wanted to build something like that with private capital it wouldn't see the light of day. If the elevation proportions in the photo are to be believed then it would stand very much higher than existing buildings on the same ground level.
  2. Thing is, are these being built to assist people to get to work (to reduce the amount of car traffic on the roads) or just for leisure purposes? Why can't the existing trails be left as they are for walkers only?
  3. Thanks. Any idea where we can find those 'equivalent provisions', specifically concerning wearing masks?
  4. That's why I asked about the legal position (above). A legal clusterfeck coming up methinks.
  5. The MR report says: So which law would any prosecution fall under (bearing in mind the Emergency Powers weren't renewed)?
  6. Any period of isolation is more than an issue for just the returnee, it also affects those who they live with (assuming they are co-habiting), shirley?
  7. Actually, it's much more serious than that. I've said it before and I'll repeat it again; this screw-up should be seen in a much wider context in the way the Controller of Programming and Content and presumably his boss and other directors of MR have bounced themselves into something for which they were not prepared, had zero experience of or the capacity to handle. It will be interesting to see what the Rajar listening numbers turn out to be (even allowing for a possible % increase due to COVID) for the second qtr. MR are particularly lucky that neither Energy or 3FM see the 65-and-over listeners as a target market. If they did, then MR would be well and truly screwed. Why on earth they thought the old programming and content needed fixing is beyond me.
  8. If it's any consolation.... a lot of us feel the same.
  9. Follow the Yellow Brick Road.
  10. The Villiers site before being filled in?
  11. I think you underestimate Fr. Dougal.
  12. Teapot, what happened to your home brew?
  13. Mirfield is the home (almost) of the Anglo-Catholic wing of the Church of England.... just thought I'd throw that one in for those who might be interested.
  14. But a Geoffrey Boycott he's not.
  15. The Boy Brindley has a lot to answer for.
  16. Aye..... but always (seemingly) in extra-time with a ref who was blind in one eye!
  17. Alf Tupper..... my hero.... even now!
  18. Too late...... I'm from Leicestershire and already here!
  19. In part, that's because they're using the wrong aircraft. Jets are nice to have. The Q400s win every time. I really don't understand why Aurigny thought it was a good idea to have jets or even 172s.
  20. Some cosmetics that were once retailed at say £40 five years ago, are now available at a fiver or less. Now that might be because there's a lot of contraband entering the market (t'was ever thus) or more likely the price point was set too high in the first place. There are cosmetics for black people but I suspect it's just over-priced: https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Makeup-for-Black-Skin/c/makeup-for-black-skin
  21. It's all down to demand. White or black, if there's sufficient demand then 100% there'd be a company out there making sure they benefit from that market.
