  1. Reads like a speech to text attempt gone awry.
  2. I think you'll find it's magic! Piff Paff Puff!
  3. Methinks there would be a lot of duplication of both hours and word.
  4. I was rather thinking of John Mann and Kate Hoey actually. IMO Frank Field is a top banana, he's a realist.
  5. I thought i also read somewhere that there are rising (record?) numbers of younger women/couples seeking IVF treatment. It must be something in the water.
  6. Does that mean that everything that is read out and posted on the website isn't proof-read? I thought 'news' was the lifeblood of a PSB. It's a poor excuse if the basics aren't up to scratch.
  7. And it looks like he's wearing my tie.... that the missus gave to the charity shop!
  8. Stu.... you should apply for a broadcasting licence and operate LMC (Leading Mann's Conversation).
  9. So why not advertise it on MR? After all MR needs the revenue, doesn't it?
  10. So would a change in the law have saved this young fella?
  11. Why do you think I'm angry? Not in the least, if I'm honest I'm ambivalent to most of what the report says and to MR itself. I'm asking why the UK government should respond to the Tynwald Committee? I thought it was a perfectly reasonable question. The fact that the BBC is mentioned in the report doesn't necessarily require UKG to respond to a Tynwald Committee, does it? I would have thought the BBC Governors might want to contribute but not UKG.
  12. I'm referring to the the IOM Select Committee.... what jurisdiction does UKG have over them? Even if the BBC take it over wouldn't there have to be an Act of Tynwald to permit that?
  13. The question is: does this have anything whatsoever to do with UKG?
  14. Hmmmm yes... the little red operation. That didn't go too well for Virgin did it? Slots aside, why do Virgin think that they can make an operational success out of Flybe when they failed to do it first time around?
  15. Grayling said that the move was 'supported' by the Government. I wonder if he meant that as in, "it's good idea" or whether UKGOV is going to financially support FlyBe to operate the route? Keep in mind of course that by next April Brexit will have taken place.
  16. I think Terry Liddiard alluded to that on the radio t'other day(?).
  17. That's interesting because I went through all EZY flights ex IOM-LPL from 1st December through to 19th January and the cheapest I could find was £31.50.
