Did DBC consult with residents such as these before the change? We know that the issue of fortnightly collection was in the 'news' but I suspect that a lot of folk have different priorities and pressures in their lives than to worry about when their rubbish is collected.
Oh gawd..... here we go again.... "it costs time and money". Of course it does but DBC is being paid handsomely by the ratepayers for providing those services (notwithstanding the noise issue).

That's what the incinerator is for!
What some haven't realised is that as the incinerator volumes fall less energy will be produced which in turn means that they'll have to keep injecting fuel oil to keep it alight. The incinerator was designed to create energy but some clods can't or won't see that.
What's wrong with these people?
There is no business case. The hospital is not a business, it's existence is funded by the taxpayer. There'll be plenty of non-essential/frontline cost centres where savings could be made.
