Not sure of the no more maybes (though quite funny!): BHX was 2 hours late arriving on Monday, and every other late scheduled arrival for that day was a Loganair.

The general impression in a nutshell is "too small a market to be bothered with separate laws", etc. Also, Amex in particular don't allow people to benefit from their (significant, in the case of the plat.) UK benefits if they don't reside there. HSBC have specific cards that can be applied for by IOM/CI residents.

Guernsey has a milder climate and is quite a lot more "rural", which has its advantages and disadvantages. As others have mentioned, the key issue would be if you have housing included. The Isle of Man has fairly frequent direct access to Heathrow/Gatwick for flights to Dubai/India.

I remember in the summer Mr Corrin would go out slathered in oil in only his shorty-shorts, which he'd then pull up even higher and lie down in the sun, or hide a ball behind his back while the giggling girls tried to get it back...

It's true a lot of stuff is from central Europe, but I fail to see how England delivery was about 12 hours and IOM was 25 days!!! -

Hoping to send my mum some new dvds. Did a dummy order to myself (England), delivery tomorrow, then put her IOM address in: guaranteed for....21 September!!! Tried with 3 different dvds, all with Prime. Last thing I sent took 12 days and 3 calls before it was even dispatched. -

Loganair BA codeshare flights will now accrue Avios (and BA tier points) - but can't be purchased with Avios. Still no sign of LHR or LCY...
