There has been a lot of publicity regarding this election all the candidates have been on MR and the Ramsey notice board I don’t know what else they can do. I wonder how many 16 yr olds voted ?

The turnout for yesterday’s election in Ramsey was 18.6%. This complete apathy in politics by the general public is scary there were four candidates which is good for a local authority but why is there such disinterest by the general public ?

The person who is penning this advert probably took about three days or even more dreaming up the content and is possibly on about 60k p.a. with all the benefits listed and most certainly a bike. That stopped the chuckling Woolley 🤣 although he may certainly have reason to smile.

Most of them are working towards the next election the moment they get voted in that is why we get so much sitting on fences, asking the public, kicking the cans if there is a diversifying subject none of them will commit. This is why we don’t have means testing for social housing, don’t have a decision on Dignity in Dying, don’t have the Bishop saga sorted the fear of offending curtails all decisions and nothing gets done. Contempt is more harmful than making a decision that is not popular and that is what is happening here.

There was an appeal on by the police regarding the incident in Harbour road asking anyone with doorbell footage to contact them. If this data law or whatever is pursued it will not help the police at all.

I thought Crookall sounded crass and messing around with bus fares for the sake of £45000 is not looking at the bigger picture. The indignation that was felt after this half baked move was almost as strong as the budget NI hike and then this morning to ice the cake the clown further pokes the nest by stating they had moved quickly to avoid parents saving a few bob by pre paying at the old rate. He would never get a position in the diplomatic service in fact if he wasn’t in government he would be hard pressed to get a job anywhere. There are no words. This man is in charge of one of the biggest departments in Government.

I can just see the way this is going patients will have to get a ticket to park and pay unless they send a two hour free ticket out with appointments . It still won’t solve the problem that is going to get much worse before it gets sorted. It is only fair to say Laurie Hooper is acting on behalf of Manx Trust who own the land and they have a right to control what the roads on the land are used for.

If you fail in a goverment job you get moved if you are important and fail you get promoted and moved, that is the way of it.

I think most people are capable of doing more than one task, especially with all the civil servants available. The Bishop affair should have been sorted in June when Joney F. proposed it but wasn’t. It may not matter to some but the church’s constant interference in politics aggravates a lot of people and when you see the influence the Archbishop of Canterbury and his henchmen in the Lords have on various matters you can understand why. There is no place in politics for religion.

I see the COC has distanced itself from the petition and also from the reporting that had linked them with it. They are probably worried they won’t get the usual handout from the Government next year that helps to fund their useless existence .
