Juliet Turner For Centenary

JULIET TURNER has been booked for a very intimate show at the atmospheric Centenary Hall in Peel on Saturday 11 March. Juliet is more accustomed to selling out much larger venues like Vicar St and has even played The Point in Dublin but we have enticed her to visit our Isle and open our ears to one of Ireland’s finest singers to date. No stranger to airplay and constant plugging from evergreen Terry Wogan on Radio 2, she has carved an enviable reputation on her own merits from constant gigging both North and South of the Border. Voted Folk singer of the Year by the BBC in 2004 and most recently, Mercury Merit Winner 2005(with such luminaries as The Frames, U2, Van Morrison and Bell X-1) helping Juliet step into the limelight for national recognition of her works. With 3 strong albums to her name, she has just launched a no-holds-barred raw recording from the Spirit Store Dundalk to further reflect the standard, rapport and enduring reputation for live sets. This will be a very popular show and local support comes from none other than Christy D. Tickets will go on sale at the Centenary’s usual outlets in the near future

Juliet Turner will have a live fone-in with Bob Harrison on Manx Radio tomorrow Thu 2nd March at 3.45pm

I am pleased to say tickets have been flying for this one. Celtic Gold in Peel had a waiting list for quarter of ALL tickets BEFORE they even went on sale. She is getting good airplay on Radio 2.

Anyone who has opened for U2, Sting and Bob Dylan amongst others has got to be worth checking out. Plus we get Christy D and her news songs.Bargain.

Some tickets at Black & Blue, Shakti Man Ramsey,

Quine &Cubbon PSMary and Celtic Gold Peel.
