manxchatterbox
Australian investment bank Babcock and Brown Capital are already known to the IOM having already snapped up Manx Gas via the purchase of the International Energy Group.... ....word is they are on the look out for telecoms providers..... .....how close is MT on their target list after Eircom... .....would it matter to IOM users if O2 sold out its interest in MT? can the regulator prevent a sale / impose conditions on any new owner? The Old Git
It's a wholly owned subsidiary of O2 Yeah, I was thinking of another thread where someone thought BT owned O2 who owned MT
joeyconcrete
Australian investment bank Babcock and Brown Capital are already known to the IOM having already snapped up Manx Gas via the purchase of the International Energy Group.... B&B seem keen to buy Eircom, its widely reported in the Irish Press and various investment news etc. How did you determine they were interested in MT though? Or at you taking the fact they're interested in "telecoms operators" and plotted that against a local telecoms operator, without any real substance. Karellen
I'd prefer to see MT remain under Telefonica / O2's ownership - that way one of these days we may get to connect into O2's networks in UK & Ireland without penal roaming charges (well, I live in hope )
