nipper
Perhaps I'm a little cynical but I have recently noticed quite a few MHKs picking 'target high' good causes in the long run up to the election. The latest was Hazel Hannan speaking about tenancy agreements in Peel, but it was hardly ground breaking news. Manx Radio Report - Hazel Hannan and tenancy agreements I suppose it works both ways in that members of the public will realise that their local politicians will be rather susceptible to people's needs over the coming months. Steve Rodan's stance on smoking is interesting - Public Support Smoking Ban - 92% !!!!. But poor old Brenda Cannell has to be content with stating that 30% of people are smokers (Manx Radio Report) There are perhaps one or two indolent MHKs who will need to find themselves a newsworthy cause soon if they don't want to end up collecting 6 months lump sum salary in November.
