Latest figures for London show a 26.4% increase in robbery in April compared to the same month last year. (Full Article - BBC News) And in the US of A: iPod thefts fueling juvenile crime The number of juveniles getting busted in the city is rising at an alarming rate - partly driven by iPod robberies and prompting fears of a kiddie crime wave. New York saw 6,867 juvenile delinquency cases in Family Court in 2005, up 17% from the year before. Last year, 15-year-old Christopher Rose was killed by teen muggers in an iPod robbery in Brooklyn. A spike in teen-on-teen thefts of pricey iPods contributed to a 26% jump in juvenile robbery arrests last year, cops said. (Full Article - New York Daily News) Not really a surprise, is it? Them white headphones + the fact that's it's an over-priced must-have gadget makes it a perfect target - remember to get some black headphones with it...
