parchedpeas
That'd be the next logical step to be honest. I know Energy is supposed to be easy listening, but they're also there to provide a service and I reckon that you might get a different set of callers as the 'usual suspects' will be listening to Manx Radio. And then the next time the Government funding came around, energy could argue that they're doing their bit for the local community, and take a slice of the pie. Desperate Dan
Just came across 3FM when i heard the strangest thing. I heard a guy on doing the news called Ed Hand or something, then he handed over to a reporter called Nick Turner but it was the first guy putting on a fake accent that sounded awful. Plus the stories were about a week old. They must have someone off sick so out comes the work experience boy who has just read through the Examiner!

Just heard it again, this time with a news reader called something like May Flower! either it's a continuing joke or they have sacked their newsreaders and hired in something from london as they ain't local. maybe they send the londoners the courier/examiner and they read the news from it down the ISDN. All old stories again today.

Must be something strange going on in the world of local newscasting: the Manx Radio news at 1pm sounded like it was being specially annunciated for small children at bedtime. Grumble
Enunciated, if we're being picky. Annunciation refers to future events rather than news (recent events).

Grumble
At 1pm today evidently...enunciated specially so you'd understand it.

simon
Enunciated, if we're being picky. Annunciation refers to future events rather than news (recent events). Okay. I thought it just meant important announcement, in the most general sense. It certainly wasn't only the way in which the words were being said which seemed odd. woolley
I see Andy Wint has popped up on Manx Radio again. I'm surprised after the previous waters under the bridge re Energy and the TT bid. Great broadcaster though.

Great broadcaster though. Is this the guy Manx Radio staff get hot under the collar about and refer to 'being escorted from the building by the police' and the source of any negative comment on here or elsewhere?
