More pidgin English from our worldbeating newsroom team at Manx Radio:

Incidents of people in crisis is traditionally associated with the festive period, which can required a multi-agency response from the third sector as well as the police.

Following the introduction of a pilot project in October, the constabulary have for first time two mental health nurses to deal more effectively with the matter.

Is that a report from their Asian correspondent Tricia Takanawa?

Looks like civil service speak to me, rather than journalese.  My money would be on a copy/paste job from a press release.

And of course both the civil service and the cut and paster at MR would be run off their feet to the extent that neither had time to realise that what they were putting out was gibberish.

Phil Gawne told the old joke about the Tynwald pantomime being cancelled because they had plenty of donkeys but had trouble finding wisemen or angels.

And related without a hint of irony.

Disturbing.

I enjoyed - at least in parts - the IM1 this year.

Nicely self-deprecating where necessary.

The 'wan turnage' impersonation was rather well delivered. It's near the start.

The Quayle take-off, sort of à la Young Farmers, is ok and nicely observed but to be fair Howard is a pure gift.

What does @Stu Peters think of his spot? Heh heh, good 'un.

Let's face it, grammar and spelling are not widely regarded as important in todays' reporting or Forum posts!

Could it just be that a new typist has been employed? Or the journo typing these reports is not familiar with the propensity of us, discerning readers, to pick up on these 'Faux Pas'?

It is distracting, which takes away from the absorption of the enclosed message.
