foxdaleliberationfront
When was the last time Manx Radio had a new presenter for one of their main shows? It's all the same dross just resculpted to a new format. It's well past time that all of their slots were. It's old, it's tired and it's losing money as fast as it's losing listeners! Nothing wrong with Behringer for a small radio station.

Certainly based on the content they put out from 'Broadcasting House' they don't appear to be using top end equipment. It's more hospital radio than national broadcaster

Morning Mandate merged with breakfast show! Andy Wint gets back into main stream radio getting the Talking Heads slot after showing how do to it when filling in over the last few month. Much more input and work done to make the programme move at a good speed. Stu Peters gets the coffee out for the late shift although this programme must be under threat if they are forced to cutback on broadcast hours. Most small stations are only live in ‘core hours’ these days. Talking of voice tracking (recorded programmes), seems likely that Marc Tyley gets mid morning with Chris Kinley swapping to early evenings. Chris used to do that slot many years ago but seemed unhappy at the time. Hope they give the show local speech content rather than just continuing in playing ‘the greatest hits’, which is on every other radio station. I like these changes but there still is the issue the audience will just be hearing the same old voices in different slots, but let’s give it a go. We will find out all soon as the station keeps asking people to give it another chance. Their latest consultant is back and working hard, everything is coming together. The new look begins on October 14th. Edited September 19, 2019 by Gagster
WKRP
Question must be asked, if the programme controller or MD can't fix the problems themselves but have to bring in external agencies/companies, at no doubt great cost to the tax payer, then they must be part of the problem. In the 'real world' (most commercial radio stations), if you can't do the job, or the rating keep going down, then you would be shown the door. But lets see what happens next month...and to be clear from the commercial on the hour every hour it is happening in October 2019!
quilp
In typical slack fashion, MR get their powders wrong again. A news item starts with a court report about a man smuggling £200,000 of cocaine into the Island and continues further down the page and suddenly it's not coke but heroin! Very professional...
