Already a multiplicity of internet stations doing that. Won't it simply spread thin gruel even thinner?
TheTeapot
It would be pretty handy to have more stations on DAB for work, save my data. I'm still annoyed at the massive idiots in charge of 6music for messing up weekdays.
Donald Trumps
Did the DAB issue get an airing in the Manx Radio funding debate in Tynwald? My understanding was that some of the extra £100,000 was to do with a DAB trial in the Douglas area This after - I'm fairly certain - they were previously told by Tynwald not to bother with it

hissingsid
Nothing like Talking Heads, Stu would introduce a subject that was topical and then invite listeners to call in and give an opinion, some people who responded were interesting but others who were experts on everything, according to them, were dire. Now interviews are arranged and then people can have their say and it is only on for an hour.

Nobody knows what Energy numbers are since they don't trust the industry-standard method of measurement. It might all change next quarter. You and Pongo might be right ONE DAY, but certainly not in my lifetime. It's like you're suggesting we all give up efficient public transport for private vehicles. All true Stu, congratulations on the additional 1000 listeners and 11000 hours this quarter. Don't wish to rain etc... but it's still interesting to look year on year. Despite this quarter's gains, MR are still down 1000 listeners on Sept 2018, and 4000 on Sept 2017. Even more interestingly, over the same period 3fm are up 1000 on Sept 2018, and up 4000 on Sept 2017! But I'm sure your sales department won't be telling the advertisers that, eh! It is jointly owned by the BBC and the Radiocentre on behalf of the commercial sector. Or, It's the accepted method of radio audience measurement by the industry and its advertisers. WKRP
www.manx.net/tv/mt-tv/watch/87835/q12-foi-requests-on-manx-radio How can it be right that the Nation Station, who themselves make great play about using FOI requests to get answers, won’t publish their own results? Surely it must end with the same questions being asked over and over again. Thought it was the spirit of the legislation if not the law. Guessing this line of non response might be taken due to the revelations of the big 50th birthday party costs that they ran for cover. Trust Mrs Barber will pressure the Minister to get this in line with all the other government departments. We have a right to tax payers money being spent.
