There should be no reason at all to buy milk from the UK. If you don't want milk from the creamery for 'reasons' you can get it from Aalin Dairy down north or Cooil bros south. Piss off with your cravenadle or whatever crap it is. Manx milk from manx cows for manx people.

I think Stu gave a reasonable explanation at the time for the decision ...

Have you tried the products from Aalin? Their cream is amazing. I offered two local alternatives to the main creamery, a pretty sensible thing I'd have thought. We're going to be stuck, isolated to a degree from the rest of the world for a while, shop local.

I have actually as our next door neighbour uses them.

My point about Manx milk is that it doesn’t last as long as Cravendale. Not that it is an issue now as Mrs D prefers the lacto free stuff

Of course language has value, but it is subjective so it can never be right or wrong. Whether you comply or resist the societal lanugage "norms" is part of the communicative function. Accepting and defining one correct English is as much a political statement as deviating from a standard is.

In short, relax and embrace the difference.

Sounds like a universal excuse for poor English to me.
