Unless there's a sweet little sister you can show the hammer of love. Are you just a simple man? (goes on forever...)

I have seen them twice with Adam Lambert and once with Freddie (1986 Knebworth). Adam is a good performer, has a good stage presence and allows us Queen fans to see the songs performed live again. When they do Bohemian Rhapsody, Adam stands to one side while a video of Freddie does the business. A nice, respectful tribute. However I was not tempted to watch the virtual concert at over £200 for a good "seat"! Maybe he thinks Bohemian Rhapsody is crap too, eh? OK, he's probably too professional to do a karaoke, but it's difficult to escape the conclusion. Don't get me wrong. I think he has a great voice. Better than Freddie in some respects for me. Shake me up Judy
When I was in my teens and everyone was listening to Bohemian Rhapsody, this was my answer to that. The grand European drama and romance of Sebastian was head and shoulders over the kitsch of Queen's clever but soul-less mini-opera. Cockney Rebel's early albums were better than Queen's too.

I should have been seeing them this Saturday - delayed by 52 weeks by the pandemic. Ticketmaster have still got my money though. Adam Lambert is a much better fit with Queen than Paul Rodgers ever was. I agree he's a better singer than Freddie, certainly compared to Freddie's later phase after all those years of self-abuse. Some of Freddie's early recordings though are astounding - you can find some isolated vocal tracks on YouTube if you're interested.

I must admit, when I first saw Queen with Adam Lambert, I was expecting to see and hear a Freddie replica. He wasn't, he had the camp flambouyance and the vocals, but he was not a Freddie reincarnated, he was his own performer. Without sounding precious, he is a great homage to Freddie without pretending to be him.
