Aren't you over-egging it a little here, in the context of this thread?

I'm pretty sure most people know the difference and recognise gratuitous hate speech and racial hatred when they hear it. Maybe you don't?

This is the danger to free speech, isn't it? When you can say: "I haven't had any more privilege than you in my life. I'm a white man. You're a black man." and it be interpreted as racist in the hysterical terms we saw from assorted, overwhelmingly white, fruitcakes on Facebook etc, we really do need to be taking a look at where all of this is going.

Regardless of the wild overreaction, its a pretty stupid thing to say to a young black person in an overwhelmingly white place. Just completely dumb.

He certainly comes across as much more human than a lot of "highly professional" broadcasters.

Wooley, you cannot read his ''Amateurism'' as more 'Human'? Do you mean he reflects a more usual racist attitude as exists in |Manx society, than would be appropriate for the current situation?

This would reflect upon your own attitude than that of society in general!

It is probably true, that the majority of Manx people do not give a damn what happens to ' poor stu peters., who is he? but...............

I would like to think that they do care about racialism, in any form,  anywhere in the World.

Of course you can and it implies nothing of the sort. I'm sick of hearing about the BLM pressure group despite not caring a jot about it.

Does that mean that you are sick of hearing about racial integration? '' Oh not that again''', I'm sick of hearing about that..

You seem to be somewhat behind the curve???

It would indeed but I suspect that is not what you meant?

That is what I meant. Your view is obviously a narrow one and seemingly you've just apportioned fault without even listening to, or taking the time to read the full transcript before reaching your decision that Stu is just another dyed-in-the-wool racist. Hardly an objective dissection of the circumstances and meaning surrounding this debacle. But then again, this has been the case with thousands of other myopic band-wagoners inhabiting social media, they've had their minds made up by their mates, or seizing an opportunity to stand in the light of fake virtue. I would say the majority of Manxies, including those who investigated it see it now as a rather non-event being blown out of all proportion by an agenda-driven organisation.

And in case you're wondering, I have read the transcript and listened to the sound clip more times than I care to mention in an attempt to consider both sides of this argument in context.

It's over (or should be), let it go.

Well PoC IOM have deliberately managed to kill off what most sane, well-balanced individuals would call a harmless, sometimes entertaining Isle of Man local radio phone-in chat show.

Now quite how that helps to make US police forces be more mindful of their treatment of African Americans in difficult circumstances is completely beyond all.

Hopefully they'll hold open discussion forums where I can ask them....
