P.K.
Sure Stu comes across as very "blokey" but that's probably because he's a bloke of a certain age. But to cancel out rather than debate seems a bit extreme to me. He's certainly stirred opinions up on here mind. Now what is his role on MR again? Incidentally the only TXT message I have ever sent to MR was to Stu and it was read out faultlessly without any hesitation, repetition or deviation. It was "Man discovers 6 ft fatberg in bathroom mirror..."
P.K.
1 hour ago, John Wright said: No. It’s far too right wing. With a political appointee now in place it's certainly headed that way. A great shame really. First scalp being The Mash Report...

First scalp being The Mash Report... Headed that way? On the day that the news broke about Peter Cruddas being given a lordship after the House of Lords Appointments Commission turned it down and him subsequently donating £500,000 to the Conservative party two days later what did newsnight run with? An attempt to smear Howard Beckett the leading contender in the Unite leadership election because he's very left wing. To be fair he defended himself excellently. Unfortunately expect more of the same...
Andy Onchan
I make it easy on myself. I don't listen to MR at all, at least not by choice.
chris4652009
I must say I'm really enjoying the TT related broadcast on the digital feed https://www.manxradio.com/player/digital/

Barlow
Andy Wint on the Manx Radio Mannin Line today was doing some defending of the £1million that Manx Radio receives from Government. He told the listeners that "Manx Radio receives just 33p in the pound from Government, the other 66% is received from the likes of this:" <queue Manx Radio Advert> ...and the advert was for the Isle of Man Government owned Steam Railways! You couldn't make it up. Anyway, nice one Andy. It gave our house a chuckle. 1 1

Uhtred
I see that in their headline story about 'active travel' and Tromode Road Douglas on the website, those masters of the English language in the Manx Radio newsroom have deployed 'muted' when they mean 'mooted'. The two meanings could not be more different. Cretins.

Uhtred
So Quayle won’t talk to MR until he’s had ‘an apology’. Apart from the the fact that not hearing the stuttering nonsense that the oaf invariably spews out is a joy…what an insufferable arsehole. 2

We're really sorry to hear you're such a big fucking cry baby. Grow a pair. Love and kisses Manx Radio x
the stinking enigma
Is there a link to the original story? I read it at the time, thought there wasn't much in it. I dont have the technical prowess to find it again. Have manx radio asked him which part he wants the apology for yet?
