Indeed. All part of the public rehabilitation...and maintaining the publicity as well of course.

You wait ages for a requisition meeting and then two come along at once.  As well as the Lonan one regarding Smith and his , there was also one last night in Peel about allowing dogs on the beach.  (Presumably as it would have appealed mainly to people who think their pooches can do no wrong and those who get very irate about dogshit, I imagine it would have been both impassioned and unbelievably tedious).

You'd think that as a community station Manx Radio would have promoted both in a timely fashion, but the website new item on the Garff meeting didn't appear till 3:28 pm on the day and the Peel one not till 5:11 pm (and doesn't say what day the meeting is on).  The Garff meeting got on-air coverage a bit earlier, but a lot of people rely on the website and the social media it sometimes feeds for their information and not many will listen to the station all day.

This is a systemic fault with the way that Manx Radio treats most such events, except the very biggest such as Pride or the Ag Shows..  Rather than letting people know about them with enough warning that they can arrange to go, they put them up at the last minute, almost as if there was some sort of embargo on the information.  But the organisers presumably want as many as possible to turn up.

So good it has 2 threads on Manx Forums.

While I am here, I would just like to say I enjoy Chris Sully's Sunday Night Chill Out programme.

Slip into some moccasins loosen a few buttons on the polo shirt, and try and suppress those deviant urges by chillin' out to Muzak man.

Funnily enough, I switched her off this afternoon too. Her local/specialist music show, on Saturdays, his her natural territory, and is very good, but on the daily afternoon show, she just tries too hard with stupid text-me themes like "send in your most weird food combinations" and other such crap.

Just play the tunes Christy, and cut the crap.
