If I’ve got time to listen I like stu’s talking heads programme it serves a good purpose for people venting there anger or opinion on what’s right or wrong with our island, other manx radio programmes with exception of news, mandate, sport ,tt coverage, I can take or leave, usually leave, then I’ll flick between rte 2, energy or 3 fm have no loyalty to any one station.

some of the manx radio specialist late night programmes  I visualise being listened to by a handful of people in there semi dark room with a big old grandfather clock tick tick tick ticking away. Did manage to listen to a couple of programmes that Louise Quirke did, when filling in on the afternoon programme she did about Island characters which was excellent. Manx radio does serve a purpose but needs some of the fat trimming to get costs down possible starting at management level. Bring back Stu Lowe a proper dj or Mike Reynolds who I always thought had a great radio voice not like today’s shouty giggling kids we have now but it could just be me who hasn’t moved with the times.

Event aimed at unifying comminutes

A women's march is set to take place this Sunday (21 Jan).

It's been organised to highlight issues of inequality facing women, and celebrate their role in society.

Following the march there's a reception at Noa Bakehouse with various guest speakers.

Mike Reynolds you'll find on the weekends doing the 2nd part of 'Saturday Night Live' 9pm - 1am. It's 4 hours of classic rock. Not too much blah blah either. A good listen.

Thank heavens he's not one for vigorous self-promotion...

Know what you mean. I'll sometimes turn it on and think to myself; "WTF is going to be listening to this?" Got to be less than a hundred sometimes. Still, so long as you can keep selling the advertising it makes no odds to the bottom line. All that needs to happen is that the advertiser THINKS it's having an effect. Same reason Yellow Pages is still struggling on.
