Will this result in people arriving in Douglas and thinking its Cardiff and asking for their money back {1 point - general bafflement}. Or beating up taxi drivers when they refuse to drive past Max Boyce’s house and say a jovial “Boyo” on the run in from the airport? [3 points - tenuous connection, irrational feeling of doom}. Also should the Tourist Board be forced to put advisory adverts in the paper advising the public that the Isle of Man is indeed not Wales to ensure we don’t get mis-directed tourists {4 points - Government action called for].

 

Has Manx Radio picked up the story or is this a government cover up to mislead tourists into coming here under the misapprehension that we are in fact Wales {5 points - asking if MR have picked up on story} {100 points as they did}

 

Does the Isle of Man have to mislead people in this way to get tourists? {2 points - more head scratching}

I'm sure I saw an article in the Guardian some weeks ago which was illustrated by a map of Britain and corporate logos over some parts.

IOM was completely covered by 'Dairy Maid'. No mention of Wales though.

makes me wonder if the branding people have considered it for their cunning plan to reposition the IOM so that no-one could possible confuse it with Wales..
