Rover 827 Sterling

For Sale - The one and only, Amadeus approved, Pokermobile:

1991 Rover 827 Sterling Automatic

Don't panic - it's only half a Rover: Engine, Gearbox and Steering are from Honda, as they co-operated at the time, so it won't break down every 10 miles...

Engine: 2.7l V6 24V by Honda

BHP: 177

Torque: 168 lb ft

It's quick to say the least....

Specs:

- Racing Green

- 67K on the clock

- Full Leather upholstery

- Active Power Steering (light when slow, heavy when fast)

- Electric Seats with Memory (Works fine on driver's side, passenger's side is kinda working..)

- Electric tilt/slide sunroof (working and dry in the rain!)

- Electric mirrors (both still in place)

- Electric windows x4, and all working

- Aircon / Climate Control (still reasonably cold)

- Huge boot

- Alloy wheels (x5)

- Alarm / Immobiliser

- ABS

- Front and rear armrest

- Cruise control

- Folding rear seats

- Adjustable steering column/wheel

- Clarion stereo with 6x CD changer (the stereo sounds ace, but the CD changer doesn't really work - might only need cleaning, but I never bothered...)

- Remote central locking with "Comfy Close" (keep the button pressed and roof/windows close)

- Taxed until the end of April

Now the not-so-good bits:

- Not much rust for the year, but bubbles have started appearing here and there

- A few scratches here and there as well

- Noisy tappets

- Noisy CV joints (want replacing)

- Needs a service

- It has just decided to start losing coolant, resulting in most of the anti freeze on board dripping on to the pavement. First suspicions are it's a hose at the bottom of the radiator (you can see where it's dripping from), but I haven't fixed anything yet, as it needs to go anyway.

- It obviously has the stickers on it, but they come off easily - if not, then I can get you some stuff to make'em come off...

The 827 Sterling was Rover's top-spec model at the time, the best of British engineering so to say, costing nearly 30.000 Pounds new!

All yours for:

£ 25.000

£ 15.000

£ 5000

£ 3000

£ 2500

£ 1000

£ 500

£ 250

£ 50!

That's right! 50 quid buys you this magnificent motor!

Reason being, that I can't be arsed spending any money on it, and I've decided to drive my Jag instead, so no money left to look after two fuel guzzlers...

If no-one wants it for that price, then I'll sell the alloys and crush it, which should get me 50 quid anyway - but if you want a luxury motor to work on (and it does need work doing), or a pretty quick stock car for Onchan park in the summer, then PM me or email to amadeus@manx.net.

Price includes Haynes Manual btw!
