nipper
Although this might be better in the Computing Section, could someone explain in computing terms what happened when the forum went missing? Say I had a business and central to it all was www.mybusiness.com Then something goes wrong and www.mybusiness.com is down for a week or two. Tragedy in itself but then it gets sorted and everybody is happy because they can access www.mybusiness.com again. Phew! But hold on . . . . . even though everybody is accessing www.mybusiness.com my customers are actually accessing entirely different www.mybusiness.com websites. All the seats on my widget transporter are double booked, and the same widget gets sold twice etc. etc. Edited to add that I missed this forum a lot. I found World Manx Forum (which had a familiar ring to it!) and also www.manxies.net, which I liked in a friendly sort of way but you can't beat a bit of trolling, flaming and in-fighting now and again. ps I hope we see some of Lonan3's stories in the Writers Section ! hugh janus
I did a fence in the garden, did loads of work @ work, painted the house, bought a car for my wife, planned an extension, walked 'top to bottom' (summit to Laxey seafront), laid new floors, built a workshop, serviced my car............ Im glad its back ... I can start saving money again! Wow, you got a lot done then The fence was to stop those darn kitty cats from dumping their lunch in the garden -
