OneArmedScissor
According to MR its a burst main outside the Station Hotel. I suppose I could and perhaps should have found that out for myself. But I'm a lazy halfwit, so thank you

Gladys
Sorry, but being from the planet innuendo, I just can't miss an opportunity! (Anyway, if you know that euphemism, you surely can't be offended by it!?)
OneArmedScissor
I know the phrase because an uncouth associate of mine uses it every time we go for lunch and I eventually figured out what he meant by it and yes I'm offended by it every time I hear it, I'm a polite and classy gentleman don't you know? jim
Its made a mess of the road they'll probably have to dig the whole lot up, water on the main rd from the Station to the Falcon is still off and were the water is back on it could be a bit discolored so I'd advise boiling it first. Falcon had to shut early to, glad I went out last night

I am so very sorry King Dong, I really do not intend to offend.. ...hang on! Your name, *faints and recovers, (very quickly)*, could be very unsettling to a lass only just graduated from the Ronague School of Deportment and Etiquette for Ladies. Mortal Wombat
hahah this reminds me of when i lived in spain and the water suddenly and mysteriuously stopped running in my house... after a while and after trying all the taps etc we realised we'd been cut off... so we went over to the water board and duly paid. the woman radio'd someone to put the water back on and we left. unfortunate for us the guy had already been to the house and turned the water back on a while before we'd got back, and all those taps we'd turned on and forgot to turn off again after the refused to produce water flowed freely.... so freely the whole house was actually flooded with an inch of water across the whole ground floor. being the sensible type i ran straight into the inch deep water then realised the risk of electric shock and ran out again... after a couple of seconds consideration i went back in laughing at my own stupidity whilst turning the taps off.
