Dreemskerry
The Legion Players present 'ZACK' at The Gaiety Theatre on 15th, 16th and 17th June 2006 The Legion Players have always tried to bring to the Gaiety Theatre a wide and interesting selection of plays. This summer’s play is no exception, yet, it provides considerable a contrast with its immediate predecessors. A hero is always good looking, clever, self-confident and expects to be worshipped. Zack is quite the opposite, much more human, kind and considerate, self-effacing and endearing. But he is the hero nevertheless and we watch his progress with tolerant understanding and sympathy. Ah well - it makes a change doesn't it? 'ZACK' is a wonderful gentle Yorkshire comedy, by Harold Brighouse, the author of 'Hobson's Choice' and is filled with same warmth, truth and simple humour. Patricia Routledge's acclaimed performance of Zack's mother, Mrs Munning, at the Royal Exchange Theatre, brought 'ZACK' to mainstream theatre audiences it was generally proclaimed a modern classic. We hope that you will join us at the Gaiety Theatre on 15th, 16th and 17th June 2006 at 8pm. Your continued support of the Legion Players enables us to support the Royal British Legion (Isle of Man County) and other charities.
