Albert Tatlock
According to MR "A Tynwald committee is being accused of showing a "parish pump mentality", after a report it produced highlighted the need for more car parking facilities, in places such as Castletown, Ramsey and Peel. Onchan MHK Peter Karran believes the Standing Committee on Economic Initiatives could have come up with more imaginative ideas to boost the Island's economy. The report says that in order to attract businesses to places outside Douglas the right infra-structure, including car parks have to be in place." IMHO, this report is as much use as a fart in a space suit. What are these people doing? They are adding no value and demonstrate nothing but a lack of understanding of what is required. Time for a change and a few sackings - and perhaps a bigger committee involving quite a few key people from industry methinks. This is a consequence of employing people who have no recent experience of industry to come up with leading edge ideas to move the island forward.
