Climate Change - A Manx Response

Pressrelease_06_1_.07.14.docOn Thursday 27th July there will be a public meeting at the Manx Museum at 7.30 p.m. with the theme "Climate Change - developing a Manx response.

 

Friends of the Earth organiser for the North West Neil Kingsnorth will introduce the Big Ask climate campaign, which has become a popular cause with MP's, and promote the current campaign on the island which asks our MHK's to make a similar commitment to tackle climate change emissions. And Nicola Baird, editor of a best selling book "Save Cash and Save the Planet" will explain ways in which we can make a difference, change things for the better and save money at the same time.

 

On Thursday 27th there will be a stall in Castletown Market Square from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where campaigners will be meeting the public to raise awareness of the issues.

 

On Friday 28th they will be spreading the message again in the Strand Shopping Centre, Strand Street, Douglas from 9.00 a.m. to 1p.m.

I have now added a poster so if you can use it to publicise the Manx Museum Lecture FoE would be very grateful.
