Pat Ayres
And for the sake of the BNP, my name appears in the members section. I am already on 'Redwatch' under a different name. Bring it on.
mojomonkey
Out of pure curiosity I’ve just had a look at that redwatch site. I wish I hadn’t, I found it pretty awful and down right depressing.
David Shappy
Does anyone know where to find the rules and restrictions about who can stand for election. Does someone have to have been a resident for a minimum amount of time? We have two candidates standing both are manx born and bred Also the meeting was by invite only and consisted of mainly BNP members who reside on the island! iom_cb
david...stop spamming the board. You don't seem to address issues.....just randomly put some kind of propaganda to bump the thread up the page. Can this idiot not be banned from this forum....caus it's just spam. Lonan3
The thread goes quiet. Everyone is bored by it. Everyone knows that the Bastards Needing Publicity have as much chance of success in Tynwald as a Hezbollah candidate for The Knesset. Then someone makes up a figure and chucks it in - 20,000 leaflets, 200 at a 'pact' meeting, £12,000 in donations (how many times did they pass 'GO' for that one?) and bring the thread back to life faster than you can say 'Lazarus!' ans
Can this idiot not be banned from this forum....caus it's just spam. We're wary of showing any political bias, no matter how repugnant the vast majority of us find this particular bunch of people, but we are at the point where we're going to start deleting and removing posts that don't make any sort of worthwhile contribution. Other politicians and public figures that have made themselves known on here (John Shimmin being a prime example) have taken the opportunity to put across their views and answer questions and concerns raised here. The BNP members have done nothing but attempt to use this forum as a platform for promotion, which is something we're not going to tolerate anymore. ans
let them post IMO by their fruits shall ye know them Absolutely, we're not going to stop them. But we're not going to let them shamelessly bump a thread that people have got bored of with complete fantasy. They want an advert, they can contact Uni and pay for it. Albert Tatlock
Can this idiot not be banned from this forum....caus it's just spam. We're wary of showing any political bias, no matter how repugnant the vast majority of us find this particular bunch of people, but we are at the point where we're going to start deleting and removing posts that don't make any sort of worthwhile contribution. No matter how abhorrent I think the BNP is I think this approach would be wrong. IMHO, by definition you would be showing political bias. Surely all contributions 'contribute' to the BNP thread, but provided they keep within the terms and conditions of the forums, isn't it up to posters to counter the arguments of the BNP through a higher standard of posts - rather than just using it for the purposes of a slanging match? e.g. expletives are against the forums terms and conditions, and add nothing to any argument. IMHO, David Shappy and other BNP posters have already shown themselves to be shallow people not willing to debate, and many non-BNP posters have had the opportunity to highlight this. For example, it has been proven that they must be lieing on this thread simply by the fact that most of us on here would have had leaflets or a visit by now if they had been telling the truth. Any intelligent people who read the thread would soon pick this up. Surely there is a danger that such a policy could later be applied to other threads e.g. the current Israel thread where there is a debate going on about war v peace, UN v US policy etc. Where could this go? Would Rog's posts be deleted because he constantly repeats his support for all out war and the majority don't? As daft as this might sound, the principle is the same when you think about it, and such actions would lay you open to accusations of stifling free speech which would be jumped on by people such as th BNP and would be counter-productive.
