manxchatterbox
..but why are they selling them without tyres?? surely any buyer won't be able to move them without so why sell them in that state....
Cholmondley-Warner
..but why are they selling them without tyres?? surely any buyer won't be able to move them without so why sell them in that state.... Quite simply because MNT don't actually own the tyres but have a contract with a tyre supplier who maintains the entire fleet of bus tyres and ensures that the tyres are fit and roadworthy, presumably then the tyres would have to be either bought by negotiation from the supplier or a continuing contract for their maintenance would be reached with the new purchaser of the buses. Mission
The bus that used to take us to school on the Isle of Wight was a Leyland Olympian. I'd buy one just for the memories - ahh we could recreate the food fights, egg n flour fights, silly spray fights, chuck the seats out the windows etc. Then those naughty people on the top deck could set it alight.
