manxchatterbox
OMG - hard to believe it - is it true - did someone wake up - its happened at last.... From the last Council Meeting:- "That the Enforcement Officer be requested to establish when the recommended prosecution for dog fouling will be heard in Court in order that the matter be drawn to the media's attention" ...but what's the use if the defendent gets a £50 fine - if only an example would be made of £250 of more then those that allow their dogs to foul might think again about not cleaning up.... Gladys
Just a mo, how much is this going to cost in court time, legal costs, costs of attendance by the Corpie? All for a 50 quid fine? We ALL don't like dog poo, but FFS get the thing into perspective!

Maybe they could also give on the spot fines of £50 to people who drop litter - could kill two birds with one stone then!
La_Dolce_Vita
They do that in Glasgow don't they? Would be a good idea. They should introduce that for littering too!

Amadeus
it's just all the processed shite and cereals that you find in modern dog foods that causes them to do so much stinky shite. (So they say, can't say if it's scientifically proven or not.) Fact is, that modern pet food ingredients are nothing you would want to eat yourself. Next time you go shopping, have a look at the back of any pet food - if it say's "With Chicken", then you would usually find the term "Chicken - min. 4%" on the ingredients list - same with all other varieties. Marketing makes it look good, but it's all highly processed stuff that somehow is still edible for pets.. This is an excerpt from a book about pet food, and although it's from the US of A, it gives you some kind of idea how it works and what's in it - I guess it's safe to say that if it was shite when doggy ate it, it's not gonna improve on the way out... Amadeus
The lamb flavour contained 4% lamb, the rabbit one contained 4% rabbit, and so on. (Every sort of pouch contained 4% of what it was actually supposed to be.) Basically, pet food is made up of the cheapest, nastiest shite you can possibly imagine. Yep, I couldn't agree more... This one made me laugh today - took a pic while out shopping: It's from a pack of "Sheba Season's Choice" with Chicken and Asparagus, and has 4% Chicken and 4% Asparagus in it - if you ordered something in a restaurant, and you get a plate full of rubbish containing only 4% of what it said it on the menu, you'd be well p'd off, yet the law says that it's perfectly ok to do this with pet food - not right... If people just wouldn't believe all this marketing stuff all the time....
