manxchatterbox
I took these photos of the two copper beeches and the canopy they have 'cos I'm betting Dan's men will soon be in with chainsaws to "manage" them by giving them a stiff lopping - then they can get on site and dig up close to the roots.... TerryMcCann
How many flats?? 52? are you having a laugh? And parking too. They are going to be high quality spacious pads
mojomonkey
Not sure about the number of flats proposed there but something needs to be done with that piece of land. I think its a piece of wasteland in a good location for housing.
=^..^=
I'm not normally a fan of your posts but this one is a good one. Thanks for bringing that to my attention - I'm going to get my letter writing kit out and complain. We can always build more buildings - trees like that take a long time to grow and should be treated with more respect than any thing we build. Thanks MCB - good post. feelslikeitshould
Thanks for bringing that to my attention - I'm going to get my letter writing kit out and complain. I'd put the pens away if I were you, the 21 days looks like it's been and gone. What a nightmare site on that junction too. If they get told they have to keep the tree I'm sure a JCB will 'accidentally' damage it to death.....
mojomonkey
Even taking the tree into account there is still quite a bit of space to build on there.
thebees
You are joking? nasty pokey little holes, if you think about it, they are pulling these types of hovels down all over the UK, yet the Isle Of Man thinks creating Ghettos is a good idea? strange, very strange. mojomonkey
I'd agree that 52 sounds rather high but I think that you could build something appropriate on there. What other purpose is that bit of land serving?
feelslikeitshould
I wouldn't call them ghettos, they're not. Small yes, pokey probably but not ghettos! I'm sure there are many people who live in these 'hovels' that are quite happy with them. You can't blame the builders either really, it's the people that set the standards and determine what can be built where.

What other purpose is that bit of land serving? Land, grass, greenary, trees...doesn't it do something to the air we breath? Take out the carbon dioxide etc. So yeah, it is serving a bit of a purpose really....
