Albert Tatlock
I still say we shouldn't forget history - it was also the codename used in the operation. Besides that, the word serves as a reminder of how much our society has changed. Change one word not to offend someone and you end up having to change other words. Would you have the word 'Christmas' changed as it offends people of different religeons in a 'mult-cultural society' such as the UK - e.g. 'A Christmas Carol' to become 'A Happy Holidays Carol' etc. The average number of complaints about programmes, advertisements or films shown on TV are in single figures - and yet those few complainants constantly dictate broadcasting for the majority. The real point here is where do you draw the line - and who decides where to draw it? Thin end of the wedge stuff. I think we need to follow a basic rule i.e. don't mess with history.
