BigDave
They are secured with big fuck-off chains using the anchor points in the deck. Have a look next time you go for your medication. a 40ft trailer nearly went overboard from the Ben last night Source please.
slinkydevil
Nearly - means it didn't. I 'nearly' had a head on collision with about 27 cars and 1 lorry today over the mountain. Luckily I was driving on the left and the were in the right hand lane. Pretty close though - phew!
AlexMcC
I noticed this lorry last night, the front supports had collapsed as far as I could tell

manxman8180
one suggests that if it could have 'easily toppled off deck' then, given the weather last night, it would have done. If as AlexMcC suggests the front 'supports' had collapsed, then this means that it had fell off it's tressle. Which is hardly groundbreaking stuff now, is it. That trailer doesn't look like it's listing at 45 degrees, doesn't look as if it's about to topple overboard either, must be another one that MCB is talking about. scittney
i work for the company that owns the trailer in question they're supposed to be chained down and in rough wheather it's not the best idea to stick them on the top deck. apprently a tanker trailer went thru the side of another trailer and wrote it off.
