stookie
I can't be the only one to have noticed that they have already dug up the new road surface in Ballanard Road, just a couple of weeks after it was laid. Are the people who organise this on drugs? Not that the surface is any good you understand, but it does represent a great way to flush taxpayers' money down the toilet and enables claims to be made of "£xmillion spent on roads this year"!! Tempus Fugit
presumably dug up by contractors or utilities, not the DoT ?
Grumble
I'm with Stookie on this one - our roads are like a patchwork quilt, and presuming utilities/contractors have to apply to the DoT for permission, it's amazing that a brand new road surface can be hacked up so soon. At some point, the Government needs to spend some money on building proper roads, rather than just continue to patch them up like a clown's pants. stookie
presumably dug up by contractors or utilities, not the DoT ? Don't know (think it was Water Authority) and really the taxpayer shouldn't care - simple co-ordination and planning is all that's needed to avoid most of this. Cret
They should re-do the roads into Port Erin & Pt St Mary as a priority. I don't even live there and it infuriates me every time I have to drive there - it's nigh on rollercoaster territory.
