lfc84
I've found this link to a consulatation document....(deadline for comments now passed) http://ec.europa.eu/transport/maritime/rig...ultation_en.htm IOM air travel often falls under EU reg 261/2004 and is often used by passengers to ensure the receive compensation for delays. I wonder if the Maritime equivalent will ever become an EU reg and if it will include rights to compensation of passengers for delays. If so this could be bad news for the steam packet, especially when considering the problems they have had recently with the superseacat and sea express....... ....time will tell how this impacts the operators around the EU. triple7
As per the Airlines the Steam packet would have to pay out for UK-IOM and like the Airlines they will not be legally obliged to pay out for IOM-UK, although the airlines do.
