I've been going over it for the last few days and trying a few things out on Google but nothing has sprung to mind yet. Remember the word games we had on Slim's forum? In English-speaking countries, it owes its popularity to the fact that it's also Latin for 'true.' Especially pretty when pronounced the Russian way (VAIRA - rhymes with Sarah), rather than like Veera. It's just a nice uncommon name.
