And add to the rising sea level? Wouldn't the offloading of the 'object' enable the boyancy of the Island to compensate for the rise in sea level? Or are you thinking globally? It's a lot cheaper, maintains the same level of intelligence, and has already been proved better at doing government (well - have you seen any controversial legislation this week?).
