Rich Posted November 20, 2006 Share Posted November 20, 2006 After reading many posts on what people perceive to be next gen, I'm interested to know how you approach such a theory? Personally I don't think graphics dictate what is and isn't next gen. Infact graphics have got so good now that to be honest, they just don't wow me anymore and I never thought I'd say that. I got Gears of War on the weekend, and while it's a merry little blast, not sure I would say the graphics wow me or that the game play is what I would term as innovative. That's not to say it isn't a decent game, it's good enough but I feel there was more hype surrounding it than it possibly deserved. I think what people deem to be next gen is all personal opinion, and it can only be that. What's next gen to one isn't necessarily to another.
