lard
Not true. The Liberal Vannin has indeed made in-roads into the House of Keys. At least now Peter can (hopefully) be assured a seconder to a motion. There have been times in the past where he has motioned the house (sometimes on what has later turned out to be an important matter), that did not even get a debate because his motion wasn't seconded, and so was dropped there and then. A pitiful demonstration of democracy. Irrespective of the newness of Malarkey, a very important in-road has now been made into the House of Keys by the Liberal Vannin Party. Don't underestimate it. Tugger
Not a bad outcome, if you ask me. I do like Karran in the role of government scourge, but don't want him getting hold of the reins of power
MrsTrellisfromNorthWales
Does anyone remember the Manx Democratic Party, which later transformed itself into the Conservative Party of Mann? I think Richard "I have eyebrows" Leventhorpe, the erstwhile Onchan MHK, was involved somewhere down the line. Whatever happened to it?

Don't underestimate it. Yes - at this rate they will have a Tynwald majority by the year 2066.
Skig
Does anyone remember the Manx Democratic Party, which later transformed itself into the Conservative Party of Mann? I think Richard "I have eyebrows" Leventhorpe, the erstwhile Onchan MHK, was involved somewhere down the line. Whatever happened to it? Went the same way as himself. Was'nt he very involved with the tory party in the SW of England before he washed up here. Now he bleats about not getting his pension supplement. One day he may disappear without trace.
