ans
Not surprised. I flew to Stansted and back a couple of weeks ago on Manx2 and there were six of us on the way out and four on the way back. Wondered how sustainable that was, and clearly it wasn't.
thesultanofsheight
To be fair why are they surprised there is no demand? I've tried business trips to London via Stansted and whilst its laughingly called a London Airport its actually 40 miles into London and then when you get there arriving at Liverpool Street Station means you've got to often double-back through London. Businessmen only use it IF London City or Gatwick are already booked ... its not a route of choice no matter how cheap it is. How they thought it would be anything otherwise I don't know. Euromanx pulled Stansted ages ago for the same reasons. Plus when your checking back through your surrounded by a load of pissed-up chavs flying Sleezy Jet to Amsterdam - it is not a business airport whereas London City is.
