the_kitty
Hey The Kitty, I went to a private party the other week too, what a stormer, brilliant night had by all, not a top name DJ in sight, just a load of friends in a room dancing....isnt that what makes it great? Yep, you dont get d**k heads turning up
the mo beats experience
Hoxton Whores I would say are somewhere in the midst of 'Funky' and 'Electro' House I'd say so too, Dopamine is a breaks dude from Oz, he's got links to the IOM, i got a few tunes sent to me by him before he got a record deal and he did an exclusive mix for the Beatfix show back in the day Konflict sounds like Drum&Bass to me, not sure though, not heard any of it. squeek
I dont see how Funktonic was dead before it started as it ran for 3 years with a minimum attendance of 245 (at Passion) and a maximum attendance of 615 (Boxing Day 2004 with a 100% manx DJ's!!). Not breaking any records but not to shabby I would say. Also I believe that Funktonic was the first club night on the island to host 3 seperate rooms of music....... Anyway I am down to play the Funkissential room at this event and to be honest I cant wait. Trance in one room and House in another, is'nt that what the Island needs - a choice of rooms. Innovation in a tin, upfront tuna heard nowhere else over here too. I've heard this'll continue on Boxing day with the first Ableton set performed over here
infrax
Apologies for jumping in Konflict were 2 of the biggest dnb producers around 98/99/00/01 they also recorded under kermal and rob data and made messiah which is undoubtedly one of the biggest 5 prob top 3 dnb tracks ever made. I think they primarily released on TOV and renegade hardware not sure what they are doing now. check http://www.rolldabeats.com/artist/konflict CDs wise: - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anthology-Vol-1-Va...TF8&s=music http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anthology-Vol-2-Va...TF8&s=music although messiah is on every best of dnb compilation --------- http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/renegade_hardware http://www.rolldabeats.com/label/trouble_on_vinyl ez
sundissential
PMSL!!!! BREEZE!! I Cant get in! lol, SUNNDISENTIAL, youre such a tease!! Why not mate?, you been a naughty boy! we used to get thrown out of venues for being outrageous. A grovelling apology letter normally does the trick. Until next time!!! Seriously though.... Tell the management how much you want to come to the event and have a chat in person. face to face is always the best way of progressing things. sundissential
Well I hope you can sort something out, you seem a pretty clued up guy and thats what this scene needs, clued up clubbers who enjoy what they enjoy and leave what they don't like to those who do like it. Deejay Denzel
Ay Mups is a top guy and as the Bootleg Shamen once said "very much maligned and misunderstood But if you know Mupster he's a real crowd Whoopster He's ever so good, as a true Mupster should"
Deejay Denzel
Just a quick note that there is no tickets for this event, it's first come first served. The phones have been going crazy and my mobile too, i'm only DJ'ing so i don't have much say I'm afraid. All admissions are £5 and we've ran out of allowance on the guestlist too, for a 615 capacity club it's a rediculous size guestlist (100 i've been told) but you know what these club nights are like and they're posse of followers! The night will be in full swing from 10pm so get yourselves down as early as you can!
sundissential
Oh yes! and what a Posse we have, a few lovely girls and guys coming to experience the Isle of Man and what you can give us. Not long now you lot!
