One suspect revealed/named as a Colonel in the Russian military intelligence and has been given an award by Putin personally for his actions in Chechnya and Ukraine. What a complete farce, as if it wasn’t already....

Obviously not the same guy....the one on the left is much younger :ermm:

Or more specifically, eliot higgins. https://thetruthspeaker.co/2016/02/28/eliot-higgins-of-bellingcat-who-is-he-everything-you-need-to-know/. But the british "press", including the state sponsored bbc will faithfully repeat anything they say verbatim, knowing they always will have the get out clause of blaming bellingcat if it all goes tits up. Investigative journalism at it's finest.

Never heard of him teapot. Or that website. It was just the first one which didn't belong to bellingcat themselves. Happy to take your word for it though, not that it really detracts from the fact that the british press will report intelligence from a guy sat in his underpants all day and has never even been near the places he "reports" from. Similar to the syrian observatory for human rights

Oh yeah the Syrian observatory is a load of shit. The whole disinformation world is absolutely nuts. It is getting harder and harder to work out what the truth is. I've got an idiot friend who is out in Donbass in the Ukraine where there is still a war going on. Mr Phillips is absolutely an apologist for the Russian state and has written and filmed extensively from there. His reports compared with my mates view points are very very different. Take anything you read by him with several kilos of salt.

The wonderful British MSM have a mission.

To sell print or clickbait.

So if it's a question of either running with the pack or checking veracity they'll run with the pack for fear of being left behind.

It's just how it is....
