Is air travel likely to be affected?

I certainly wouldn't fancy flying today

current flights

Ta - got a mate flying today I need to pick up. I see there have been a few cancellations this A.M.post-2251-1165154462_thumb.jpg

That flight has now been cancelled. Must be bad - doesn't happen that often.

Talk about bad weather. The wife and son just left me in London to fly back from Luton, when they got there they found out Ronaldsway is closed from 16:00 onwards (Sunday). They have been re-sheduled by Aer Arran for Tuesday! Some people can't fly back till Wednesday!! Checked all the other airlines and they seem pretty full too.

a weather buoy in Morecambe bay showing wave height 20ft, it has gradually increased from 12 ft this morning, 16 ft early afternoon, but the wind chart looks like we are on the down-side now, lighter winds to the west of us.
