Juan Kerr
Yes, because it's your fault that the scroats stole your stuff. Well unemployment is on the up! How else are all the unemployable going to buy prezzies for their chav kids?
mojomonkey
Unemployment is still very very low on the Island. Anyone who is economically capable and hasn't got a job clearly doesn't want one or is just plain unemployable.
Gladys
Sadly, I think everyone should take responsibility for their own property and that means locking it up. Apart from anything else, your insurance policy probably will not cover you if you don't, as for household cover forcible entry is a usual requirement for a claim. sarahc
My point exactly. Apparently it's our fault if they steal it!

access55
Why not just empty your house first then do the same if your on that wave length.
Albert Tatlock
Although covered, I've been getting letters from insurance brokers trying to get me to buy more insurance and telling me that 'because there are usually lots of extra goodies in houses that can easily be seen through the window, this is the ideal time for burglaries... etc.). Since I suspect many burglars will also be getting the same letter, it seems to me like a self-perpetuating burglar recruitment campaign. Maybe even burglars will be advertising soon: 'use Swags burglars - same distress - but less mess!' If I spend anymore on 'insurance' it'll be in the form of a baseball bat.
