Ean
Who is that at the front on the far right, he looks like he's been dropped from a great height! Slouching in the house should be banned
Another comeover
I just heard Steve Rodan was elected Speaker. Apparently along with Peter Karran and Bill Malarkey, 4 of the new MHKs were sporting the smart yellow ties of the Liberal Vannin party in the House of Keys this afternoon. Juan Watterson, David Quirk, Graham Cregeen and Tim Crookall. Hahahahaah What a great wind up! I knew that the MHK's were something of a club of school boys but that is really amusing to get back at Peter Karran and Bill Malarkey for wearing a quite ugly tie to tell you the truth. Good on for the new boys for coming up with that funny little thing - I did think about that and thought it would be funny if everyone came in the the ties one day - including civil servants. I would wear mine around my head like a bandana.
Steve Gribbon
I am told that it was to "wind up the establishment" rather than the LV party. The ties actually look ok in the House against the many shades of dark blues and one or two red/maroon ties that seem to be the choice of our MHKs! Chinahand
I wonder if its just back to front. From the speakers point of view it'll look like the old one!
Steve Gribbon
I think the ties make the Liberal Vannin lads look quite distinctive
