Hey up Gladys...

 

Whilst I would never doubt your statement, I think the Coast/River Guard were probably exagerating, just a tingy wingy little bit on Manx Radio regarding the 50 yards stream rescue!!!!!!

 

Mind you, it certainly sounded like they were real life heroes though, so 10/10 for their PR Man ;)

Civil Defence and Coastguard are seperate, but all do training etc together with mountain resuce as well, so you will sometiems see mountain rescue down the side of a cliff resucing someone.

 

My teacher is training a new search dog for all three services for example at the moment. But yes, they do support each other a lot.
