[BBC News] Crackdown on domestic oil thefts

Police in the south of the Isle of Man crack down on the growing problem of domestic oil theft.

It takes quite a bit of room to transport 700 litres of fuel and you need to avoid contanination, so surely it must be easy for the police to catch these people. I guess they're not looking for a couple of Pikey's in a converted Transit, but a biggish tanker lorry. How hard would that be to spot?
